Is there anything we can do to ensure a safe, reliable, and secure energy supply?

In order to provide a safe, secure, and reliable energy supply, it is necessary to establish power generation facilities without causing environmental damage. We developed AIRDOLPHINE to address this issue.

Feature

01

Ultra-Lightweight Design

Extremely lightweight with a total weight of just 18 kg (GTO: 20 kg). This exceptional lightness allows AIR DOLPHIN to seamlessly track winds even under turbulent conditions, achieving ideal power generation.

02

Power Management System

Non-Stop Continuous Operation Control:During continuous strong winds, the turbine assesses the wind conditions and restricts rotor speed to maintain uninterrupted power generation. Additionally, in typhoon-like conditions, a 10 m/s wind can instantly surge to 20 m/s. To capture such rapidly fluctuating winds, we equipped the turbine with a generator capable of instantaneous 4 kW output (GTO: 20 m/s). This enhances power generation efficiency and increases overall energy output.

Safety Control:Prevents self-destruction by applying appropriate power output control based on key parameters, including generator temperature, electronic component temperature, over-output, over-voltage, and over-rotation.

High-Efficiency Operation:To achieve high-efficiency power generation across a wide range of wind speeds, programmable control is tailored to the characteristics of the multi-stagger rotor. We independently developed a power management system that integrates wide-wind-speed airfoils and a high-efficiency generator.

03

Swing Rudder

The tail features a "Swing Rudder System"—an attitude control method inspired by fish caudal fins. By utilizing this system, the turbine can instantly respond to changes in wind direction, resulting in more efficient power generation.

04

Information System

By adopting Zephyr’s eco-communication system, two-way communication between the wind turbine and the RM-1000 is enabled. Furthermore, the server function of the RM-1000 allows for remote operation of the turbine and real-time monitoring of power generation status.

05

Power Assist

The proprietary "Power Assist Method" allows rotor rotation to ramp up quickly, improving its wind-capturing capability. Even during calm conditions with no wind, the generator switches to a motor to rotate the rotor for 10 seconds every minute, effectively preventing ice and snow buildup in cold climates.

06

Innovations for Low Noise

Features the Silent Disruptor Blade. Incorporating numerous fine grooves on its surface, this new blade significantly reduces airflow noise. Inspired by owl feathers—which allow owls to silently approach prey unnoticed—this technology was developed by our in-house designers.

07

Body Structure

By adopting a "Block Puzzle Structure" inspired by traditional Japanese crafts like Hakone Yosegi-zaiku (marquetry), we achieved a screwless design. This robust and highly durable body structure is a true breakthrough of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

08

Rotor

Adopts a new rotor system incorporating two advanced technologies. This technology offers the flexibility to adapt to various conditions, from light breezes to severe storms, delivering efficient power generation while eliminating the need for pitch control.

Two Advanced Technologies in the Redesigned Rotor:
(1) Ultra-Lightweight Carbon Fiber Skin: The blades feature an ultra-light carbon fiber skin—also used in next-generation aircraft wings—that combines high rigidity with long service life.
(2) Multi-Stagger Design Method: The rotor shape utilizes a "Multi-Stagger Method," a design approach that achieves optimal conversion efficiency at various wind speeds across a wide range.

09

Design

Our proprietary cosmetic design achieves a next-generation look, drawing inspiration from natural creatures to pursue streamlined functional beauty.
AIR DOLPHIN’s design balances harmony with its surroundings and a striking presence. The streamlined body and freely moving tail vane evoke a living creature, bringing joy and a sense of calm to viewers.

LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)
CO₂ emissions during the production of AIR DOLPHIN are approximately 180 kg. It takes only 4 to 5 months for the turbine to offset its own production emissions through generated power (calculated at an average wind speed of 4.5 m/s and 0.425 kg-CO₂/kWh). Beyond this breakeven point, all generated energy directly contributes to CO₂ reduction and a "Cool Earth."
