The Sapporo Snow Festival is an event held every year in the City of Sapporo, Hokkaido, featuring nearly three hundred artistic snow statues, large and small, and ice sculptures created with thousands of tons of white snow and crystalline ice. that were displayed at parks, the grounds at community dome, and the main avenues in the city's central area.
Welcoming more than two million visitors from domestic and abroad, the Festival celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year. Event sites scattered around the City hold various special live and international events.
Hokkaido is an island where "G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit" was held last summer. Airdolphin systems were on display there welcoming VIPs and reporters from abroad.
At the Snow Festival, Airdolphin was installed for powering a large LED signboard placed at the special stand located in "Environmental Square". Zephyr Corp. sponsoring the Main Stage is supporting the event by offering prizes such as weather observation devices, etc. for drawing by participating visitors.
The event is being held from February 5th to 11th.
